Music has been around humanity as long as bipedal walking, based on facts I just made out from the top of my head. But all jokes aside, we live in an era in which having a music playing device with you at all times is not only doable but a necessity for many of us. As one of the standard things we ask in interviews, it was high time the staff of Coding Jar gave us their top 8 picks for music. Why 8? Because its four of us, and we will each pick 2

Paul Gilbert
Paul Gilbert is my favourite guitarist. He is one of my main guitar influences, along with zakk wylde. His classic guitar influences bundled together with light speed fingers, while still maintaining melody and not resorting to brainless note spams (I'm looking at you Dragonforce), make his music so good to listen to

Favourite Song: Scarified

Phil Anselmo
Controversies aside, he is a musical mastermind. I enjoy his work from early pantera, to down, superjoint ritual, and all the stuff he has been working on musically.

Favourite Song: Stone the Crow

Wallnut Rating: 80's-Kid's-Show-Intro Metalicious

Maria's Choices:

Lindsey Stirling
The girl is a musical miracle in of itself. Aside from the fact I admire her musical imagination, I loved her determination and aim to win over the world through her violin playing. Despite the initial disappointment when America's Got Talent said she had no talent, she did not quit, but instead kept on going. It is very important for a musician to not only have amazing music, but also character traits you can admire.

Favorite Songs: Elements (Dubstep Violin Original Song), Master of Tides

Michael Jackson
Enough said. I believe a similar talent will not appear in the world any time soon. Michael Jackson was an inspiration throughout his entire career and even now we still enjoy his hits as if they were new releases.

Favorite Song: Thriller

Wallnut Rating: HEE HEE, SHAMON-AGH!

Theodore's Choices:

Judas Priest
Why does Theo like Judas Priest? I dont know! You dont know! Nobody knows! Why? Because he keeps it a secret that's why!

Favorite Songs: The ripper, Leather Rebel

Uematsu
At this point he just stared back at the Wallnut, without ushering a word, just waiting for me to walk away. No words. Just dreams.

Favorite Songs: Dancing Mad, FFIV Battle Theme

Wallnut's Rating: Kurosawa Metal

John's Choices:

ALEX
One of the New Retro artists, ALEX is one of the few artists I find myself going back to and listening to his EP's and Albums over and over. With songs featuring Rachel McAlpine and other female voices, he alternates between the cyberpunk and driving tunes with a retro flair that just gets to me.

Favorite Songs: Youth, Akuma

Queens Of The Stone Age
This was a close tie between Eagles of Death Metal, Danko Jones, Red Fang and Ghost, but with the overwhelming amount of hours I have put into Qotsa, it was a clear winner. Stoner metal was always a favorite music genre for me, and the variety of tunes this band delivers appeals to me in many different ways. From lyrics to tunes, this is one of my top favorite bands and one that has accompanied me in situations ranging from going out on a date to preparing for surgery

Favorite Songs: Go With The Flow, Like The Way You Used To Do

Wallnut's Rating: Cyberpunk

Closing Statements
