Tussle In The Kitchen

Today we are going for a stroll in the kitchen, because I am hungry, and because it is high time we put Tussle association back on track (not really). Both of them world famous chefs, both of them with hit T.V shows and restaurants and known for their own unique approach in the kitchen. Both of our contestants will be thrown into the cooking ring, and they will be judged based on

Cooking Rank

Restaurant Prestige

TV Shows

Personality

Gordon Ramsay

No-nonsense, vile mouthed and the king of cooking memes, Gordon Ramsay is a world famous Chef with 3 Michelin Stars and booming reviews throughout the board. Known to the public through his TV shows, he swiftly rose to even more popularity throughout the world for his exploding temper and controversial use of insults in the kitchen. But will that be enough for the merciless Tussle?

Cooking Rank: 10/10 Rating top in numerous top 10 Chef lists, Gordon Ramsey is without a doubt a true Master Chef. With numerous awards, one even given to him by the literal Queen of England, he has served food to everyone, from everyday folk to prime ministers and religious leaders.

Restaurant Prestige: 10/10 Seriously, I have tried to find something I can subtract points for, and I cant. With a chain of highly prestigious top rated restaurant chains and a number of other businesses Gordon Ramsay seems to have taken the industry on a chokehold and is not willing to let go

TV Shows: 7/10 Known as the guy who shouts and swears a lot is one thing, but are his shows any good? Yes and no. His shows do in fact give us exactly what we want to see, Gordon Ramsay going into literally the worst kitchens ever and helping small restaurant owners fix their failing enterprise. The concept however is not fresh and has been done numerous times before. Was it not for Gordon Ramsay's personality his TV shows would not have lasted long, in my opinion

Personality: 9/10 Everybody knows him for his explosive behavior and frequent bursts of rage in the kitchen, but in all honesty, I think it is very underplayed how much different he seems to actually be. If you watch his shows for a time you will start to notice that he is in fact a very even tempered, calm individual that he simply takes no nonsense from everyone. Polite, kind and often humble Gordon seems to be an all around stand up guy.

Jamie Oliver

Known for his cookbooks, tv shows and off course restaurants, Jamie Oliver is without a doubt one of the most famous Chefs in the world. Known for his cooking shows, his activist actions as well as his cooking books. A well beloved cook, he used to stay in the top of his game, until our other contestant came along. But will this be enough to make him survive the Tussle of Food? LET US FIND OUT

Cooking Rank: 9/10 Well, there is no way to ease into this, he used to be number one, but he got sent to number 2 by Gordon Ramsay. For this reason alone, he has a 9/10.

Restaurant Prestige: 7/10 Despite their success Jamie Oliver clearly does not seem very interested in owning Restaurants. Instead his businesses seem to revolve around cooking schools and charity work. Despite it being an a-ok move, it really does not give him that much prestige when it comes to owning Restaurants.

TV Shows: 7/10 Everybody liked Jamie Oliver's TV Shows, but lets be honest, despite their initial blast, the fact that they soon became a bit too on the nose when it came to the carnivorous diet, does seem to make him lose a few people in the process.

Personality: 9/10 Obviously a tie between our contestants, as Jamie Oliver may lack Gordon's explosive temperament but he clearly is a man that loves his craft. Always energetic, the fact that Jamie Oliver has in fact tried (despite controversy striking) to point a spotlight to some of the food's most glaring issues, as well as his work creating ways for people to get into the Hospitality industry.

And The Winner Is:

Bobby Flay

In all honesty, it was a really hard tussle. Both Chefs are amazing both in and out of the kitchen, and my obvious lack of high tier cooking skills means I cant really judge em based on cooking for whatever reason. So instead, I will give the award to Bobby Flay, who seems to have great skill but wins the match as far as TV shows is concerned.

A Chef appearing in numerous top 10 lists the reason Bobby Flay wins is because of his TV Show "Throwdown! With Bobby Flay". In that show he would challenge chefs known for a very specific recipe  in a cook off, in which food critics and the public would try both dishes and decide who is the winner.

Fun concept, pretty interesting recipes and a great combination of excitement and cooking, his show was both unique, fun and interesting to watch.
